ABQ ventures to our trombonist's homeland to perform in spectacular Newfoundland for the first time. Everyone is excited for this meeting and bringing ABQ's music to this part of the world.

ABQ's second Juilliard recital of the season, featuring the world premiere of Tyshawn Sorey's 1st brass quintet. This much anticipated piece from a MacArthur grant and Pulitzer Prize winning composer will become a significant part of ABQ's legacy.

ABQ stays local with a Sunday matinee in beautiful Wilton, CT. Their Candlelight Concert Series will be hosting ABQ for a snowy, woodsy late afternoon.

ABQ will be spending 2 days at Eastman presenting a variety of classes for their very talented student body. There will be a one-hour concert included, as well as the master classes and discussions of subjects related to the making and business of chamber music. The concert will be on Tuesday, Dec 3 at 12:30 in Kilbourn Hall.

ABQ's first Juilliard recital of the 2024-25 season! Performing on the Daniel Saidenberg Faculty Recital Series in Paul Hall, ABQ will be presenting the NY premiere of David Sampson's newest piece for the quintet, A Murder of Crows.

TCU in Fort Worth, Texas is hosting the ITF and ABQ will be playing a featured recital for several hundred trombonists!

ABQ returns to Kalamazoo, Michigan, this time with native son Brandon Ridenour! On our last visit, we played Eric Ewazen's Shadowcatcher for a wonderful audience of 3,000 and had a wonderful few days. We're looking forward to seeing our great friends on the faculty of Western Michigan University, including Scott Thornburg, who toured with ABQ on a memorable tour in 1997.

ABQ plays in beautiful Rye, New York. Close to home in a lovely synagaogue for a historic chamber music series.

We have been to Ashland a few times and always shed a tear as we leave. Such a beautiful part of our country and a wonderful culture, we look forward to our time there to celebrate the holidays. (A little early!)

ABQ plays the first of 2 Juilliard recitals in Paul Hall. Featured will be world premieres by Tim Higgins and Hitomi Oba. Rounding out the program will be some of our usual early music interpretations as well as some of our recent modern gems.

ABQ returns to Newburgh Chamber Music to open the 2023/2024 season!

Our concert on Sunday March 5th will be at 3pm and we will be joined by the graduate brass ensemble at UMD, the Terrepin Brass. Also featured will be our newest piece by the acclaimed Jennifer Higdon, who will join us for some events.

ABQ will be premiering our commission of Jennifer Higdon, one of the 21st century's leading classical composers. The commission was made possible through a chance meeting with Dorothy and DuWayne Hansen, who asked us if we knew Jennifer. They offered to make contact and fund this piece with the sole request that we premiere it in Bowling Green. ABQ is grateful to them for facilitating our mission of bringing forth brass chamber music from the top composers of our time.

Sandwiched between our 2 Ohio concerts is this journey to DePauw University for a recital and master class.

recital in for the Arts Council of Moore County

After a successful foray to the outdoors in downtown Salida, ABQ will once again perform in the beautiful park and river setting in historic Salida, Colorado. In a program including music by Charles Ives, David Biedenbender, Ludwig Maurer, and English Renaissance composers William Simmes, John Ward, and Giovanni Coperario, this will be a relaxing way to spend a summer evening.

Featuring a mixed media piece by Nina C. Young, an exciting and emotional new work by David Biedenbender and, of course, large brass pieces with ABQ combining with our students from the ABQ Advanced Chamber Music Seminar.

ABQ visits the birthplace of Count Basie! Not that we'll play anything from his genre, but his band was a great influence on so many brass players that we have to mention it.

ABQ returns to New Orleans for a longer visit than the quick post-Katrina concert sposored by FEMA. This will be a 2-day residency with various community outreach culminating in a recital at Tulane University.

ABQ makes a short trip to the beautiful New York City suburb of Rye to play a spring recital.

ABQ returns to southern Florida for a master class and concert at the Frost School of Music.

A recital in the Hudson Valley city of Newburgh, this will be the first brass quintet performance on this 22-year old chamber music series.

U of Delaware concert featuring some festive music, ABQ style.

ABQ returns to the New York stage with a recital in Paul Hall. As of now, the concert will be streamed to anyone outside of the Juilliard community, which includes students, faculty, and staff.
